Toyota Adds GR Heritage Parts For A70/A80 Supra, AE86, and Land Cruiser

Jan 05, 2024

The automaker is continuing to do its part to keep its vintage models on the road.

Ever since Toyota launched the GR Heritage Parts initiative back in 2019, the automaker has consistently added new parts offerings to its portfolio. As the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon kicks off over in Japan, the automaker has embraced the festivities and has announced a new collection of parts coming to support historic models like the 2000GT, the Land Cruiser 40 series, the A70 and A80 Supra, as well as the AE86 Corolla Levin/Sprinter Trueno.

Toyota says that the GR Heritage Parts collection will include 56 new parts for 2022, joining the already extensive list of parts on offer last year. These new offerings aren’t evenly spread between the different vehicles in the program, however. The Land Cruiser will receive the largest boost in support this year, as 33 of the incoming parts have been designed for the off-roading legend. These include high-use items such as a starter or a brake master cylinder, while less wear-prone items like a license plate lamp are also on offer.

The A70 Supra gets the second most love in 2022 with 11 new parts, including a replacement catalytic converter. That’s a few more than the two new parts on offer for the A80 model, even if that latter is a bit more valuable these days. Speaking of value, parts for the ultra-rare 2000GT include a new clutch disc and new transmission input, output and counter shafts. The AE86 picks up new final and pinion gears for the differential, a new differential companion flange, and transmission input shafts.

According to the automaker, these new GR Heritage Parts will be available from retailers across the world starting on February 1. Toyota also says that it would like to sell these parts directly from dealerships in the future, allowing for a more streamlined vintage car ownership experience. If you happen to own one of these aging Toyota products, be sure to check out the entire catalog of parts on the brand’s website.
